My Salvation Testimony

I was raised in a Christian home from the time I was five years old. Soon after, my parents were divorced. My two brothers were six years old and 1 1/2 years old. It was a difficult time, especially for me as I was nine years old. Fortunately, my Mother is and was a very strong woman. She determined to bring us children up in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord"

We moved from Washington state to Texas, then eventually to California. We attended a church where I had many friends and prospective boyfriends. I even had a couple of serious boyfriends.

All this time, I had believed that I had accepted the Lord Jesus into my heart. I was going to church every time the doors were opened. I was attending a Christian high school where we memorized memory verses and studied the Bible. I was a good teenager, but, apparently, my Mom did not see the Light of Jesus in my life.

When I was 18 (March 17, 1983, to be exact) my Mom came to me that morning and asked me if I had accepted Jesus into my heart. She said some other things and finally left. I sat on my bed thinking about that simple question. I had thought I was saved, but I didn't remember a time and a place where I had accepted Jesus in to my heart. So, right there and then, I asked Jesus to come into my heart and to cleanse me of my sins.

Wow!!! How different I felt! It seemed as if the day was brighter and more alive. My whole outlook on life seemed different. I felt like a whole new person.

I went to college the next fall and eventually graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Something I had always wanted to do. Then, that summer of 1988, I married my best friend, Bill.

Thankfully, we are still happily married. We have three children: Billy, 13 years; Timmy, 11 years; and Chase, 3 years.

The following is the plan of salvation, Please read these verses carefully and thoughtfully. My heart's prayer is that you will come to know my Jesus as your personal Savior.

John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:3 - "Jesus answered and saith unto him, 'except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'"

Romans 3:10 - "As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one."

Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

Romans 5:12 - "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed up on all men, for that all have sinned."

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Romans 5:8 - "But God commended his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

I John 5:13 - "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God: that ye may know that ye have eternal life; and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

Acts 2:41 - "Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls."
