This page is dedicated to my
husband, William J. Custer, Sr.

I
met Bill when I was in my senior
year of college. I was
helping to register first year
students and he was one of them.
I checked his paperwork and saw
that he was a music major just
as I was. So, of course,
we had something to talk about.
The next time we met was at my
piano teacher's wedding a couple
of days later. I went with
my ex-fiancé and some other
people. I sat and bawled
through the whole wedding.
LOL. It was the first
wedding I had attended after I
had broken up with my fiancé.
At
the reception Bill and I talked
the whole time. Can't
remember what we talked about
though. But, I do know we
had fun. He kept me
laughing.
Well, as the year went. i
found out he was divorced.
At the college we went to they
didn't allow single students to
date divorced students. It
was a Christian college.
Well, growing up in a strict
Christian home, I figured Bill
was off-limits.
To
make a long story short, I fell
in love with Bill. He
asked me to marry him and I said
"yes!" It was on a Sunday
afternoon and we were sitting in
a park in Redlands where we
attended church. Bill was
the music director and I was the
pianist.
We
got married at the city hall in
San Bernardino on July 11, 1988.
My
mom was not thrilled that I had
married him, but, hopefully, she
has accepted him. We have
been married for fourteen years this
past July 11. We have had more
than our share of problems and
we have come through them with
all the credit going to God.
We would be divorced by now if
it hadn't been for our Lord and
Savior.

Well, that's the basis of our
getting together. Bill is
the love of my life. I see
him as my knight in shining
armor. That is why I used
this particular background set.
Bill has a wonderful sense of
humor. I am always
laughing at something he says or
does.
Bill is an amazing person.
He is so musically talented.
He plays most any band
instrument you hand him.
Believe me, this is the absolute
truth. His musical
strengths are drums and trumpet.
He also sings.
Bill was a professional wrestler
back in the mid-80's. He
trained in the now defunct USWA
(United States Wrestling
Association). He was known
as General Custer. He wore
the costume and blew the trumpet
as he entered. He also
wrestled barefoot. He did
a few television matches for the
World Wrestling Federation which
is now known as the World
Wrestling Entertainment. I
think he would have been big if
only his knees had not been
injured.
Bill is also a martial artist.
He has a 2nd degree black belt
in Shorin-Ryu Kenshinkan karate.
This a Japanese martial art.
He also has a 2nd degree black
belt in TaeKwonDo and a 2nd
degree black belt in TaeDoRyu™
which is his own system that he
and I have developed over the years.
Bill is also a terrific provider
for his family. He is the
hardest working person I know
and I thank his parents for
instilling that in him.
He
started with the company he
works for now two years ago.
He is now a retail manager for
an auto parts company and the
"darling" of his district.
Bill's first love of all, is
Jesus Christ. This is the
way it should be. He loves
to preach and misses it
terribly. We are in the
process of looking for a smaller
church where we can be used of
God and for God.
